The Sassy Holiday Shopping List

It's that time of year again, and this year poses extra challenges as many of us try to do our holiday shopping online. But never fear! We are here to recommend our favorite places online to get gifts for all of your Disney-loving friends from Etsy shops to the official shop. So sit back, sip some Lefou's brew, and get ready to cross those names off your list.

The Official - Did you know you can purchase Walt Disney World merchandise that is sold in the parks online? While not all park merchandise is available, you will find a good selection including apparel, pins, parks merchandise, toys, jewelry, and mugs. We are particularly fond of the Parks selection. In fact, this link will take you to the collectible pins in the parks selection and from there you can browse at Shop Disney.

The Signage - For cool looking signs that evoke iconic Walt Disney World attractions, we enjoy Ye Olde Proppe Shoppe on Etsy. Here you can find standard or customizable signs in park styles, with a particularly good selection of Polynesian Village, Haunted Mansion, and Disneyland Dedication style signs.

The Scent-sational - There are two great online shops we love when it comes to Disney scents. Our go to shop is the Magic Candle Company. They carry a huge variety of scents in the form of candles, of course, but also wax melts, soaps, shower tarts, bath bombs, room spray, and oils. We like them because of the accuracy of their scents. Some of our favorites are Banshee Flight, Polynesian Village, and Flying Over Fiji, but we also respect Haunted which takes us directly to the haunted mansion when we sniff it, even if it's not a pleasant smell to us.

Here at Sassagoula Times, we love our scents, so we have to throw in another place. Spireside Candles is awesome for their creativity of scents. Most scents are Disney themed, but not literal. We love the design on the jars, though, and this place also sells whipped soap and other scented goods.

The Magazine - We love WDWMagazine for their colorful issues. They also have a few nice picture books and a calendar if you like photography. I mean, if your friend likes photography, of course. This is Christmas shopping, not self shopping, silly. Oh, heck, buy two subscriptions!

The Guide - Our favorite trip planning guide has been and probably always will be the Unofficial Guides. Why? Because they are honest and unendorsed by Disney. The ratings you will find are not only the author's opinion, but also consider feedback and real quotes from guests. And it is a comprehensive and helpful guide that is updated every single year. Have I disagreed with the author from time to time? Absolutely! But it's a good start and the best, most useful guide out there right now. Also, there are additional versions for other parks or geared toward traveling with kids.

The Pop Sockets - Did you know there is an entire Etsy shop dedicated to Disney pop sockets? Well, now you do.

The Stationary - Check out Brandelane for stickers, stationary, art prints, and paper goods with a Disney flare. The art prints are like Ansel Adams meets Disney, and we love the "I cry during the fireworks" sticker. Don't we all need one of those?

The Punny Pin - Oh Hey Studios on Etsy has an adorable collection of punny Disney-themed pins. We're a fan of the "resting Stitch face" pin and the "Aquaholic" Little Mermaid pin. These puns are, uh, definitely adult puns, so be aware that these are not for the grandkids.

The Inspiration - If you love a good Walt quote, head over to Lillian and Co to see their collection of inspirational bracelets. Lillian, incidentally, is the name of Walt's wife.

The Trip Planning Accessory - If you have a trip coming up in 2021 or 2022, now is the time to create excitement. These nifty magic band decals from Magic Your Band make great stocking stuffers. They also stay on really well. I wore mine on a 12 day vacation which turned into 13 days and it held tight the whole time!

The Lego Maniac - Check out the Lego Disney collection. They have anything from small figurine keychains, up to a replica of Cinderella's Castle that can shoot "fireworks".

The Precious - If you're looking for something a little nicer, you can't go wrong with the Bradford Exchange Disney collection. They have amazing handbags, snow globes, and other figurines that cost a precious penny, but are meant to be collectable heirlooms.

We hope we've given you some ideas for the Disney fans in your life! Enjoy your shopping and we wish you a safe and healthy holiday season.
