50th Anniversary Treats We Must Eat
Y'all. Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary is a big deal. And for the entire 18 months of it, each park has some exclusive treats.
Now, we're not going to list ALL of them here, but some have caught our eye. These are the treats we must try.
Magic Kingdom
Look, the haunted mansion shake and push pop are adorable. And the 50th anniversary sundae at the Plaza looks amazing, but too big for even two people to finish. But I'm a sucker for a dome cake, so our first pick is...
Gaston's Tavern - Donald Duck cake. It's lemon mousse with a blueberry filling, all wrapped in a buttercream and decorated in Donald Duck's attire. Oh yeah, there's also a Mickey Mouse cake. But you know how Donald would feel about that.

Casey's Corner - 50th anniversary hot dog. We adore Casey's. There's something about Disney hot dogs that is just *chef's kiss*. But you know what else we adore? Weird food combos, and this one is all that. It's a hot dog (of course) with a strawberry bacon jam topping (say what?) and funnel cake pieces sprinkled on top (what WHAT?). It sounds so weird it has to be good.

Aloha Isle - Fifi, Gigi, Mimi. This is pineapple, vanilla, and orange bundt cakes stacked and filled with pineapple dole whip. Yes, please. Side note: There are a lot of "plussed out" dole whips for the 50th anniversary and ALL of them sound good to me! The Lion's lair in Africa at the Animal Kingdom comes with sour apple juice which is apparently very sour. And the Polynesian resort has a lime dole whip. If I could, I would try them all. But I love the classic too. So many decisions to make.

EPCOT
Unfortunately, the treats we are interested in at EPCOT are only found at table service restaurants. There are other treats, but these two are the most interesting to us. Which begs the question: Would we go to the bother of getting an ADR just to try them? Mayyyyybe. But it's more likely we'll be feasting on food and wine snacks while in EPCOT.
Nine Dragons Restaurant - boba blue magic. You say "boba", I say "now". This concoction includes pea-flower ice cream, blue lychee, milk, blueberry popping boba, and toffee.

Teppan Edo - Yuzu mousse cake. We love yuzu, a wonderful citrus that packs a punch, and this looks like a work of art.

Disney's Animal Kingdom
Flame Tree Barbeque - EARidescent firely. Pineapple juice, Powerade mountain berry blast, Sprite, and a glow cube. Could we make it at home? Yes. But is a cold, sugary drink absolutely better at Disney? Also yes.

Drinkwallah - Hand dipped 50th celebration Mickey premium bar. We love the Mickey premium bar. Add some additional frosting and sprinkles? YES. Look, we were going to eat a premium bar anyway. Why not make it special?

Disney Hollywood Studios
Hollywood Brown Derby - 50th Anniversary baked Alaska. Confession time: I have never had baked Alaska. In fact, for the first 20 years of my life, I believed it was a fish. I don't know why. I learned it was not a fish when I started playing the Sims and my Sims could make it for dessert. So. Anyway. We actually plan to dine here, and I have to say, it's going to be hard to choose between this and the classic grapefruit cake, but perhaps I can convince my travel companion that we should split both.

Amorette's Patisserie - 50th celebration petit cake. This one wins the award for prettiest. Vanilla chiffon cake with blue mousse, blueberry jam, and lemon curd.

Resorts
Disney's Riviera Resort - Prima Piatto - 50th Anniversary classic tiramisu. We like tiramisu and we are staying here, so we'll likely eat this. It does look like normal tiramisu with a 50th stamp, but still.

Disney's Riviera Resort - Topolino's Terrace - Vanilla and citrus creme brulee. I LOVE a creme brulee. If a creme brulee is on the menu, I order it. It's a given. I really love a citrus creme brulee. For a while Sunshine Seasons had an orange blossom creme brulee that was amazing. So if I only end up eating one thing from this list, it's going to be this. I mean, look at it.

Available throughout the World
At select table service, lounges, and pool bars - the magical beacon cocktail. Disney fans are likely familiar with the magical star cocktail. The magical beacon is a play on that. It is lemonade based with other fruits like hibiscus, and gin, orgeat, and blue curacao for the alcohol. And of course, it comes with a glow cube.
Also at select table service, lounges, and pool bars - the EARidescent sipabration. It's lemonade with a "bath bomb" for your drink. Yes, the little character head is a drink bomb that dissolves, changing your drink's color and adding a swirl of sparkles like one of those glitter meditation bottles. Each resort has a different color. It's silly, and gimmicky, and I'll feel like a fool saying the name of it while ordering, and... I want one.
