Disney at a Distance: Fantasyland

Every week during the nation's COVID-19 crisis, we are taking our readers on a virtual journey to one of Walt Disney World's lands. This week, enjoy the sights and sounds of Fantasyland. And if you'd like to enjoy the scents and tastes as well, check these magical extras you can prepare at home:

As you round the corner into Fantasyland, you hear the music change.

Fantasyland has so many rides that you might get overhwelmed. We're going to do a tour of the very highlights here but offer diversions via links that will open in new tabs if you are interested.

Let's start with the part of Fantasyland that I call the bottleneck. It's the carnival-esque avenue of "dark rides". Here you will find some of the original favorites and a few new ones. Of course, the favorite of everyone seems to be Peter Pan's Flight.

You might also choose to ride any of these:

Working our way through, we have to of course take a stop in the most famous restroom in Walt Disney World, Rapunzel's tower. Can you find Pascal?

SPOILER ALERT: All locations of Pascal will be revealed in this video. If you want this to remain a secret, do not watch this video. You have been warned.

Ah, 'Punz. She understands quarantine.

But, Ladies! There is more to Fantasyland than just artsy lizards. There is of course the manly, enchanting, somewhat domineering-would-totally-send-your-father-to-the-asylum Gaston!

And since you've seen the man, you might wish to see the woman he wishes to marry as well at Enchanted Tales with Belle.

But you're here for the rides, right? So let's continue onward to Seven Dwarves Mine Train!

And just around the corner, we can go Under the Sea with Ariel.

Carrying on, you find some more classics like...

and some new things like...

And let's cap the evening off the most magical way in Fantasyland with a ride on Prince Charming Regal Carousel during a gorgeous sunset.

I hope you are enjoying our little adventures to the different lands of Walt Disney World. Where should we go next? Let us know in our comments or on our Facebook page. Until then, stay healthy, stay six feet away, and we'll see you next week!
