To all who come to this happy place, welcome!

This is a blog about all things Disney (but mostly Walt Disney World). When thinking about a name, I thought back to the first time I visited the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. My mother and I went when I was 14, and we stayed at what is now Port Orleans Riverside. It was then called Dixie Landings.

This beautiful moderate resort sits along the Sassagoula river. Since my first trip, we've returned there many times and even when staying somewhere else, return to visit Port Orleans Riverside. Something about that river makes Disney feel like home to me.

And for a short time, Disney World really was home to me. For four months in 1999 and a few days in the year 2000, I was in the Disney College Program where I served an internship at Walt Disney World. Talk about a dream come true!

Every return trip, I feel like I'm coming home to familiar territory. I know the secrets, I know the shortcuts, I know the tips to make your vacation more enjoyable, and I have decided to share these with you in this blog.
