12 Days at Disney Feb 2018 Trip Report - Day 10
We woke at about 7 AM and tried to get to EPCOT at 9AM, but sadly we had just missed a monorail, so it was more like 9:15 when we got there. The lines to get in were very long and waiting in the hot sun on that day was not fun, but once inside the park it did not seem as crowded. The good thing about EPCOT is there is lots of space to spread out.
We love Soarin', so decided to wait standby for it. The wait time was 35 minutes which was not awful for Soarin'. After this, we went on Mission Space: Green. This ride has two versions and I've done them both. Orange has the centrifuge and feels akin to an actual launch in the actual space shuttle. You will fight the pull of gravity to push buttons and your skin will stretch back off your arms and face. Green is motion simulator, but not centrifuge, and is the "safe" route if you are concerned about motion sickness. Either is a really fun ride.

We were placed on a team with a single lady to make our fourth person who was very nervous about the ride. Like, VERY nervous, but her kids had said to go on, so she did. We talked her through what to expect and she even said to my daughter "I am loving your mom right now." :) Like I said, I love those moments when you get with a guest who is experiencing something for the first time and get to see them experience it. Anyway, the lady enjoyed the ride and so did we.
We had Be Our Guest lunch reservations, so we headed to the Magic Kingdom before lunch time. I had the croque monsieur and a chocolate cream puff. The croque monsieur was much better than the salad nicoise I'd had previously. I like the atmosphere, but the place was noisy this time around.
After lunch, we picked up more Sorcerers cards and played a few more rounds. Then, we headed back to the resort for what I was now referring to as my daughter's "daily dole whip and pool time". She really did have a dole whip every single day. Living her best life, that girl.
The Oasis pool at the Polynesian. I can't blame my daughter for wanting to swim in it each day.
For the evening, we went to Disney Hollywood Studios again. Our goal this time was to see the Star Wars fireworks. We had a lot of time before that, so we went to see the Beauty and the Beast stage show. My daughter did not believe the performers could be as good as they were and asked how they knew to move their lips in time with the music. When I told her they were really singing, she didn't believe me. Yes, dear, sometimes Disney seems too good to be true.
The Beauty and the Beast stage show
Daughter really wanted to see the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular, though for me this is usually a skip. But we did it. Again, she didn't believe it was real. Kept asking "Was that part with the fire part of the show? How do you know?"
Then, we went on Star Tours. Turns out I was a rebel spy! My family loved that I was the spy. It was a rough ride, but fun.
At this point, we were hungry and having some trouble finding food places that were open (!). Granted, it was to be a very late dinner, but I was surprised that things at Disney Hollywood Studios were starting to close shop at least an hour before fireworks. What we did find was Dockside Diner, where we got enormous (and not very good) hot dogs. Then, we headed to the area in front of the Chinese Theater and watched Disney Movie Magic which was a projection show at 7:55, and stayed in our spot for the Star Wars Galactic Spectacular at 8:15.
Exiting the park that night was incredibly bad. I think three buses loaded up before we were able to get on one.
